2D week 2

 in 2D class we evaluated our information on accessing sources of information and media ( in last weeks homework) talked it over with the class to see if they thought it was relevant or not and collaborated the information into a single file.

they both are really helpful in coming up with and finding the techniques and sources to create our own designs.

Our practical work for this week was to come up with 3 different designs for our journals, to help us mark the pages with information like the date, our name, student number, topic and week.

 

The shape for all 3 design are based round a star shape, with different outlines and fillings. the first star, on the right is my favorite because it is simple and the stroke of it looks a bit like Japanese calligraphy. the media of the star on the left and the middle one can be done all digitally while the 1 on the right can be done digitally or hand drawn, because calligraphy was originally hand drawn by brushes. The star in the middle has a outline with a polka dot filling for the centre, again all done digitally. the star on the left side has a rather fancy/ retro outline wit ha gradient fill.
